With the UK developing its approach to climate security, there are opportunities for synergy with the UK’s WPS policy and programming. This summary presents findings from participatory gender, climate, and conflict workshops in Fiji and Nigeria in 2024. Findings include: the complexity of climate security worsens an existing tendency towards ‘silos’; a focus on technology in climate mitigation and adaptation can obscure gendered issues of land ownership and resource management as key factors; there is a need to involve men in addressing barriers to women’s influence on climate security.
